Q & A:
The best thing about writing this book?
I really enjoyed delving into the darker side and digging down into the main character’s emotions. To have someone who is essentially a slave and has no reason to continue living, yet somehow finds the strength to fight and cling on to who he is.
Where did you get your idea for this story?
The idea for this story just popped into my head (as all my ideas do) but it began with the idea of feeding magic into a collar and using that to train ‘students’.
What would you tell aspiring writers out there?
Be observant of everyone and everything around you, no matter your genre. Inspiration can come from the most unlikely places. Write no matter what, even if you feel the words you’re putting on the page are absolute drivel. Write because you want to touch someone and because you enjoy it.
What is your favorite book?
Witch Wraith by Terry Brooks
Coffee, Tea, or Hot Chocolate?
I want to thank Andi O’Connor for allowing me to promote her book on my blog. I hope this post has inspired you to go out and read Redemption!
