Q & A:

The best thing about writing this book?
I have wanted to be a published author for most of my life. When Beyond Escape was finally done and published, my lifelong dream came through.

Where did you get your idea for this story?
One night I was given the gift of a dream, a dream that I didn’t want to wake up from and when I did, I thought about that dream for days. I knew there was a story that needed to be told and then my novel, Beyond Escape, was born.
Although the book is fictional, it is somewhat autobiographical. Beyond Escape is based on real life people and real life circumstances including the murder that takes place in south Texas.

What would you tell aspiring writers out there?
Be patient. The writing part is easy. Once you book is completed and published, the real work begins. It’s hard to make yourself known amongst the hundreds of other authors but with a good marketing plan and persistence, it can be done.
