Author: R. S. Novelle
Genre: Paranormal Suspense
Release Date: October 29, 2013
Graham had a simple life: A job he enjoyed, a wife that he loved, and a young son that kept each and every day full of surprises. But when his father passed away unexpectedly, he inherited a family heirloom that would begin to…complicate matters.
A mirror that had been in his family for generations, Graham quickly found that its reflections were out of the ordinary, and that it had prophetic powers beyond his comprehension. Giving him just a momentary glance at souls who were on the knife’s edge of life and death, it was up to him to try to save them as they were thrust unknowingly into his path.
Finding a way to balance his daily life with this newfound responsibility was proving arduous enough, but when the mirror begins showing him reflections of his own family, Graham finds his world irretrievably changed. Will he be able to save them, or will he be forced to live with the same regret that so many have suffered before him?
Q & A:
The best thing about writing this book?
This book was so different from the previous ones I’ve published, it really gave me the opportunity to explore a new genre and develop new concepts. I fell in love with all of my characters this time, and was cheering them on the entire way. I think it’s a great story that will appeal to a very diverse group of people.
Where did you get your idea for this story?
I think personal experiences of losing people in my family really helped to shape the core concept of this book. It proposes the concept that if we were allowed a small glimpse into the future of strangers, would we treat them differently than we do now? I’d certainly like to think so…
What would you tell aspiring writers out there?
Never give up. Just keep practicing and honing your skills at every possible opportunity. And never lose sight of the joy of writing. Do it for personal pleasure first and foremost, and if you connect with an audience of readers, all the better.
What is your favorite book?
Depends on the day! Coffee primarily, I couldn’t function without it! But I’m partial to a nice cup of tea in the evening also.
Coffee, Tea, or Hot Chocolate?
